Queens District RCMP have been conducting a “selective driving campaign” in Queens since mid-February. So far, 31 tickets and 16 warnings have been issued for a variety of traffic offences.
“Ticketed offences have been primarily for speeding,” police said in a news release. Other violations have included driving without a licence or insurance, failure to stop at a stop sign and having an expired vehicle inspection.
Motorists are reminded to check the expiry dates of their driver’s licence, registration, insurance and vehicle inspection sticker.
Anyone wishing to report a driving infraction may contact Queens RCMP at 354-5721.
