At least 1,000 people have already gathered in Montreal to protest against sanitation measures.
A strong police presence was on site prior to the start of the planned demonstration at Mysonnev Park.
“I’m here because the government cheated me too. We want this demo to be a festival,” Tania Belanger explained at her two young children’s organization.
According to our information, many performers are wearing bullet proof vests.
“Liberty, Liberty, Liberty” the performers chanted. “The police, with us,” other people said.
Surrounding residents who met during the parade also rose up against the demonstrators.
“I do not believe these people are coming here for a walk with extra children. It only exacerbates the problem. It is clear that the number of cases will increase in the coming days,” Helen Buregard blamed.
“I am for mask and vaccine. I am here to demonstrate my freedom and return to my normal life, ”said Alexandra Ginovan, 28.
Keep in mind that vaccination appointments scheduled for Saturday at the Olympic Stadium have been “replaced” and “frozen” at other clinics due to this incident.
“We have taken steps to avoid being there during the demonstration,” Health and Social Services Minister Christian Dubey said yesterday.
The organization of the program was strongly condemned by shareholders in the health sector.
“It’s miserable. It’s like we’re running a show for drink driving or driving red lights,” said Dr Matthew Simon, head of the intensive care unit at the University’s Institute of Cardiology and Pulmonology.
