The former director of the Institute du Nouveau Monde is still waiting for his sentence.
Recalled the facts
In August 2008, Director-General of the Institute du Nouveau Monde sexually assaulted then-intern Leah Clermont-Dion at an event in Quebec.
The first attack took place in a taxi, followed by a party at the Medusa complex, where the man touched her genitals and tried to kiss a 17-year-old man at the time.
Judge Stephen Pauline, who heard the defendant’s and victim’s version, felt that Wenne was calculated and lacked “clarity and transparency.” Michelle Wenne is free during operations.
For her part, Leah Klermont-Dion lifted the publishing ban, which protected her identity during operations, in particular, to address the media.
