Quentin Tarantino recently admitted that he did not give his mother a “cent” in his fortune.
The American director explained to the podcastMoment PodcastHe kept the promise he made when he was 12 when his mother wanted to thwart his dreams of making movies.
“Our mother felt I was wrong at school. She criticized me for the short scripts I was writing at the time:” Do you think you would have that short script writing career? It’s completely over, ”he said.
The author of hits such as “Pulp Fiction” or “Kill Bill” hints that he promised his mother that he would not even pay “a penny” for his success by making sarcastic remarks about him.
“There will be no home for you, no vacation. No Cadillac for sale. You have nothing to tell me all this, ”he threw at her.
Tarantino confirmed that he has kept that promise and has never helped his mother except to pay a one-time tax since his success in Hollywood.
“There are consequences to the words parents throw at their children. Some words or sarcastic tone can have an impact on these children,” he said.
