Washington | A “significant amount” of U.S. military equipment is now in the hands of the Taliban, US President Joe Biden, Jake Sullivan’s national security adviser agreed Tuesday.
“A good amount has fallen into the hands of the Taliban and it is not clear to us that they will gladly give them back to us,” he told a news conference at the White House in response to a question about the American military equipment in Afghanistan.
Two days ago, the Taliban released a video of a “black hawk” model of the Afghan army marching around American helicopters at Kandahar airport (south).
“These + black hawks + were not given to the Taliban. They were handed over to Afghan forces at the request of fugitive President Ashraf Ghani, Jake Sullivan said.
He emphasized that the letter was not a signal of a formal antitrust inquiry into US President Joe Biden, but rather a signal of a formal antitrust inquiry into the allegations.
