Top model Linda Evangelista has declared that she was “irreversibly deformed” by a cosmetic mistake she made five years ago, thereby justifying her withdrawal from limelight and public life.
“As the media described it, I could not recognize it,” the 56-year-old former model wrote in a message to more than 900,000 Instagram followers.
The Canadian underwent her slimming treatment which had exactly the opposite effect than expected: instead of reducing the fat mass, she multiplied the fat cells.
“Despite two (restored), traumatic and failed surgeries, it left me with an irreversible disability,” wrote the 1990s icon, one of the highest paid supermodels in the world, such as Naomi Campbell or Claudia Schiffer.
Like other consequences, the failure of this treatment “not only destroyed my livelihood, but also plunged me into an abyss of long-term depression, deep sadness and self-loathing,” he says.
Linda Evangelista, who claims that she now lives “alone”, is a victim of the rare side effect of cryolipolysis, which usually allows the silhouette to re-draw the silhouette by localizing the fat.
