Former Innovation Minister Navdeep Baines got the job after the election when he was the Vice President of Investment Banking at CIBC’s Global Network.
The politician is now ordered to “build relationships with ruling clients and expand business globally,” the banking firm said in a statement Monday morning.

A longtime MP, he was elected to the Toronto suburbs and served in five legislatures from 2004-only lost in 2011. Navdeep Bynes was Minister of Innovation, Science and Industries from November 2015 to 12 January 2021. His resignation to devote more time to his family.
