After Alain Reyes, Joel Godin, the fifth Conservative MP from Quebec, Dominic Vienna, Gerard Deltell and Bernard Generex, officially announced their support for Jean-Charles for party leadership.

The Portneff-Jacques-Cartier MP announced his decision on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon.
“After the announcement of Tasha Khiriddin’s withdrawal from the CCP leadership race and with the aim of keeping the Conservative Party of Canada united and the Progressive Conservative, I will support candidate Jean Charest if he decides to stay in the race,” he tweeted.

In an interview with Newspaper, Mr. Godin said he completed his reflection on Monday evening. “I, for one, am defending Canada’s Conservative Party, uniting it and making it progressive-conservative. His future is tied to Charrest
