Nadez Saint-Philippe died of cancer

TVA weather presenter Nadège St-Philippe died Saturday of cancer, surrounded by her family.

“There are too few words to express the pain we feel, Nadez leaves a very big void. We are losing a very dear colleague, but also a friend from the extended family of TVA”, we can read in a press release from TVA Nouvelles.

The entire TVA Novelles family extends its deepest condolences to her husband, friends and family.

“A true ray of sunshine, it has marked our daily lives and our newsroom for more than fifteen years,” said TVA Editor-in-Chief Xavier Brassard-Bédard.

A weather presenter for Group TVA since 2006, the man was diagnosed with stage three colorectal cancer in 2011.

“I know because my body, sorry, is literally bleeding. I didn’t want to know, maybe, but I said “it will stop, everything will be fine, I’m correct”. So I didn’t change anything in my daily activities”, she said in March 2021 “Deux fils le matin ” mentioned on the show.

In the fall of 2021, his doctor contacted him to tell him that the polyp he had removed was cancer. “I was relieved, I said everything behind me. Unfortunately, a few weeks after the procedure, my doctor announced to me that what he removed was cancer; all the analyzes confirmed it. So, despite the beautiful instructions entrusted to me, for my health, a break from my professional life I had no choice but to take it,” she told “La Semaine” magazine.
