Three days before the closure of three of the six roads of the Louis-Hippolyte-La Fontaine tunnel, Alan D’Souza, mayor of the borough of Saint-Laurent, lamented the organizational failure of the administration of Valérie Plante.

In a message to its 30,000 employees, the city of Montreal does not appear to favor teleworking, but encourages them to experiment with carpooling.
“She offered no plan, no detailed steps: nothing allowed the employees to get out of this trapped mess,” said Mr. DeSousa lamented.
As Prime Minister Francois Legault invites road users to turn to Plan B, such as carpooling, public transport or telecommuting, Mr. DeSousa’s approach to Project Montreal is difficult to understand.
“Is she the mayor of mobility, or the mayor of immobility?” He wonders.
