Noise, music, and the presence of other patrons can make a visit to a restaurant a normal experience for many people with autism.
Since the beginning of April, five St-Hubert rotisseries have been welcoming these clients in a friendly atmosphere.
“The St-Hubert Group, together with the Autistic and Major Foundation and the St-Hubert Foundation, has put forward an inclusion project for autistic customers to come and eat at our branches,” explained TVA. News Director of Martin Group Human Resources, Clara Martin.
“We have come to make changes regarding brightness. So, we really turned the lights down. For the flow of music, we’ve cut it down. We chose a few tables in the dining room to make sure it was as quiet as possible, less busy, and we even had a sensory kit,” she added.
À Pas de Géant supports this initiative aimed at optimizing the customer experience.
“It’s not just recruiting and it’s also great to see that there are companies like Saint-Hubert that are willing to have a 360 angle that also offers autistic clients and their families,” Giant Steps said. Project Manager Michael Hutt.
