Many Twitter users found themselves in front of a message indicating “rate limit exceeded” on Saturday morning, preventing them from displaying new publications, its CEO, Elon Musk, explained this new measure in a tweet.
Billionaire indicates that the number of publications that can be viewed per day will be limited “temporarily” to “address extreme levels of data analysis (data scraping) and system manipulations”.

Elon Musk first suggested that accounts subscribed and verified to the Twitter Blue service would only be able to see 6000 posts per day, but their rate would be limited to 600 per day.
New accounts to be created from Saturday should be limited to 300 tweets per day.
Hours after the initial announcement, Elon Musk clarified that the limit has been increased to 10,000 for verified accounts, 1,000 for others and 500 for new users.
The CEO did not provide further details about the end date of this so-called temporary measure or what prompted him to adopt it.
