The state company reported in its report that some 3,498 homes were without power before 4 a.m., most of them in Gaspesee-Îles-de-la-Madeleine and Monterrey.

Thus, 1,441 Hydro-Québec customers are waiting to be reconnected in Gaspacy-Îles-de-la-Madeleine, while the outages recorded in Quebec and Estrie have been resolved.

In addition to 1,234 customers without power in Montérégie, more than 530 homes in Montreal are still affected by outages, according to a state company report.

Dozens of families in Lanaudière, the Laurentians, the north coast and Centre-du-Québec are waiting for electricity to be restored.

Hydro-Québec agents were still working Monday morning to address the issues underlying the still-unrecovered outages in the province, it added.
