The announcement was made by Genevieve Guilbault, Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, and Eric Kair, Minister of Cyber Security and Digital, during a press scrum in Montreal on Monday afternoon.

As of today, it is possible for an individual to create an account for the new Government Authentication Service (SAG) with just two pieces of identification at one of the following seven SAAQ service points:

– Langelier (Montreal);

– Gatineau;

– Longueuil;

– Lebourgneuf;

– Drummondville;

– Saguenay.

Since the launch of SAAQclic, many Quebecers have been unable to access services on the new platform because they need four documents, including their notice of assessment, to create their SAG account.

A new Quebec measure aims to simplify the registration process.
