After the recent Updates on EPA coverage (All models), Acceleration (Model 3) and Price (Model S), Value proposition for TeslaThe cars were raised once again.
Let’s take a look at the three basic criteria for all currently available versions: price (in the US), range (EPA) and acceleration (0-60 mph).
As you can see below, each model can do more than 300 miles (483 km) EPA on a single charge. In fact, the entry level Model 3 Standard Range Plus is only less than 300 miles, while the Model S can do over 400 miles (644 km).
To get more acceleration, customers have to pay noticeably more. The interesting thing about the prices is that the Model Y LR AWD is only $ 3,000 more than the Model 3 LR AWD.
If we include The upcoming Floyd model S, Scheduled for late 2021, also base specs (range 520+ miles / 837+ km, acceleration should be within 2 seconds), which completely changes the picture.
The price is gaining a lot of astronomy at ast 141,190 (twice the original price of the Model S Long Range Plus), but it is faster than Tesla and has a third of the range.
* Some data / samples are estimated, prices MSRP + DST
** Tesla Model 3 Standard Range version is not part of the comparison, as Tesla is not even listed on its website (it is hidden, only for those who ask)
