A Vernon business will try to kill the dragons next week.
There is no bottle The popular CBC business-pitch show Dragons Den will be on December 17 at 9pm
Dragons Den is a place where entrepreneurial entrepreneurs can place their business ideas and products in the hopes of getting investors to a panel of Canadian business moguls.
Bottle Nun launched last November and is now listed in over 100 stores across Canada and the US
The company produces shampoo, conditioner, deodorant and other products without the use of plastic bottles.
“We have entered into agreements with distributors and are proud to have our bars at the Whole Foods Canada locations in March 2021,” said Jay Siegmల్లెller, who co-founded the company with his sister Ali.
“We manufacture our bars here at Vernon. Each bar replaces two to three plastic bottles. The bars are saloon grade, pH balanced and free from parabens, SLS and SCS.
“We’ve been making natural products under another brand (Bare Nature) for the past eight years, and after opening Okanagan’s first zero-waste store, we hit the lab to create a Canadian-made bottle-less hair care pathway.”
Jay says the average person uses 10 plastic shampoo and conditioner bottles a year, and only 15 percent of the plastic is recycled.
“That means more than three billion plastic hair care bottles touch the landfill area every year,” she says.
Jaye could not comment on how their TV show went, but said he was very happy to be part of the show.
