Air Pods Max Customer Impressions: Premium Design and Competitive Sound Quality, Looks Heavy on the Ears and Smart Case Useless

Today is Air Pods Max launch day in the United States and many other countries, and as orders begin to arrive, First impressions of headphones from consumers The surface began. We already shared AirPods Max impressions From media companies and YouTubers, And customer feedback provide an additional perspective.

AirPods Max photos were shared by Bordisboy, a member of the Macroomers forum

Bordysboy, a member of the Macromars forum, picks up a pair of AirPods Max from an Apple store and They say “premium quality” And “very well made”, stainless steel and aluminum design “miles ahead” with the plastic used in Bose’s Quiet Comfort 35 II and Sony’s WH-1000XM4 headphones. They found that the Air Pods Max had better sound quality and active noise cancellation than the Bose and Sony options.

Bordisboy finds ear cups to be “lightweight and unrealistic”, but says Airpods are “much heavier” than Max Bose and Sony headphones. “I wore them for 45 minutes and I started noticing the weight on the ears (not the top of the head),” they said. (The Apple Air Pods Max headband is designed to distribute weight and reduce on-head pressure.)

Of course, not everyone is impressed with the AirPods Max. MacDonald is a member of the Macromars Forum Although the AirPods Max have the best build quality and aesthetics, they are not convinced that they are better than Sony’s WH-1000XM3 headphones:

Mine arrived a few hours ago and although it was too early to make the final call – I like them more than my Sony XM3 on initial impressions. The sound signature is very pleasing to some, but I don’t have the warmth and depth compared to Sony. Sony is also very comfortable, you forget that you are wearing them where the AirPods Max really has a weighty presence that seems to put pressure on your head and ears.

I was a little shocked if I could honestly say that Sony has a more pleasant sound. The Airpods Max may have a little more detail on the Mids and Highs but I can get a more custom sound that suits me if I can eq Sony’s ways.

Sony also has a higher Max volume, which helps with silent recordings. Both have no distortion at high volumes.

Increase quality and get your hands dirty for Apple, the volume control crown is excellent but sound and comfort are definitely a top priority and I fear Sony will win – so far.

MacRoomers forum member Longway Home Bose’s Quiet Comfort 35 II and Sony’s WH-1000XM4 headphones are more comfortable than Airpods Max, Notice that The Air pods max are heavy:

I’ve had these for over an hour now, they feel awesome and the noise cancellation is amazing. One thing to keep in mind though, these things are huge. I wore them for an hour and I could definitely feel their weight. I hope it doesn’t turn out to be something I dislike wearing most of the time due to weight, but I think a lot of people feel the same way when everyone wears them.

Moriarty, a member of the Macromars Forum Emphasized Airpods Max earbuds are “deep and wide”, and they feel it needs more attention:

Year cups are deep and wide (at least as big as my QC25). I gave them back because my ears touched the inside of the XM4: I do not have this problem with the Air Pods Max. I don’t think this feature deserves half the attention it deserves. Most wireless headphones have very small ear cups and I can’t hold it. There is no such problem here. This is one of the reasons why headphones are so big. Too much depth is taken by the earcup and the driver and all the electronics are around the edge. It was very well thought out.

Compared to the touch controls on some other over-the-ear headphones, the physical controls on the AirPods Max have been praised by many users. Like the Apple Watch, the Air Pods Max has digital control for volume control, playback, phone calls and Siri, as well as a volume control button for switching between active noise cancellation and transparency modes, the latter allowing for a bit of sound.

Like the reviewers, most users agree that the “smart case” carrying case with AirPods Max ranges from “useless” to “awful”.

“It looks like Apple’s design team forgot about this case and they got one of the cleaners to design it on paper,” joked Honglong, a member of the Macromars forum 1976. “This case is completely useless for travel.”

Priced at 9,549, the AirPods Max are available for ordering on apple.com, but they currently have a 12-14 week delivery estimate. For more impressions, visit Airpods subform on Macromars forums.
