Fight racism: Legalt government calls Bochra Manas appointment "wrong"

The Legalt government qualified as a “flaw” by Bochra Manas’ appointment as commissioner of the fight against racism by the city of Montreal, the state based on his past positions against the law on secularism.

On Tuesday, the city of Montreal announced the appointment of Bochra Manas, who will become the first commissioner to fight racism and systemic discrimination from next week.

The position was created in response to the recommendations of a report introduced this summer that highlighted the city’s shortcomings in the fight against discrimination.
