The buffalo teen car, which was cleaned up after the demonstrations, receives a scholarship

A buffalo young man who has taken it upon himself after the George Floyd protests has been rewarded for his efforts.

Antonio Quinn Jr., an 18-year-old high school student with a full scholarship to Medellin College, can zip into the class in a red, 2004 Ford Mustang convertible, a gift from a grateful local person, Moved by Teen Agent initiative, according to reports.

He receives one year of free auto insurance courtesy of a local businessman.

“I felt compelled to help him,” said Bob Friesland of Priceland Insurance Buffalo WKBW-TV. “We need to bring our whole city together and show people how good people are here.”

Like other cities around the country, Buffalo has been hit by protests following the May 25 police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

After seeing the damage done to his hometown, Quinn picked up a broom on Monday and began clearing the trash at 2am on Monday morning – continuing for 10 hours straight.

When volunteers showed up late, they found that teenagers were already hard at work; According to CNN.

Matt Black saw the story in local news and the teenager changed enough to hand over the keys to his dream car – the Mustang.

“I don’t like selling it. It’s a great way to get rid of this and appreciate the one who gets it,” he told WKBW.

Unbeknownst to Black, the car is of special importance to Quinn – and it is

“The car he sent me a picture of, the same car that my mother first got me,” said Quinn, whose mother died in 2018. “It’s the same color. Everything’s the same.”
