Conrad Seoyi has been appointed chairman of the SAAQ

Former Quebec Grand Chief Wendy Conrad has announced the appointment of Sioini as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Society de l Assurance Automobile du Quebec (SAAQ).

Member of the first countries in the history of the Province to be appointed head of the Board of Directors of the Crown Corporation.

Konrad Seoi was the leader of the Huron-Vendat nation for 12 years from 2008 to 2020. He lost the last ballot when asked for a fourth time.

The appointment comes after tabling a report criticizing the Action Group Against Racism in mid-December. From the age of 31, Conrad Seoi served as regional chief of the First Nations Assembly of Quebec and Labrador for eight years. He played a key role on the Canadian constitutional question and chaired the Commission of Inquiry on Aboriginal Rights.

He was also a delegate to the First Nations Assembly in Geneva for eight years.

Konrad Sioi studied anthropology at Laval University and completed a master’s degree at the National School of Public Administration.
