(Toronto) Brookfield Asset Management has appointed former Air Canada CEO Colin Rovinescu as Senior Advisor to its Global Private Equity Group.
Mr Rovins retired in February as head of Canada’s largest airline.
He is the former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Star Alliance and the Board of Governors of the International Air Transport Association.
The alternative investment manager explained that he would focus on the aviation and aerospace sectors and help Mr Rovins find and seize investment opportunities.
Cyrus Madon, chief executive of Brookfield’s private equity group, said Mr Rovinsku’s knowledge and expertise would benefit the team.
