The ESPN network reported the news, seeing everyone coming, but no one wanted to hear. The 44-year-old athlete has been part of the NFL landscape since the beginning of the 21st century and has discovered collective imagination by winning the Super Bowl seven times.

The California native won his last ring with the “Bucks” in his first season in 2020. The current champions’ run ended in a crushing 30-27 defeat to the Los Angeles Rams in the second round of the playoffs last Sunday.

Brady’s journey is directly linked to coach Bill Belichic, with whom he has been a partner for the Patriots for two decades. Together, they won the 2001, 2003, 2004, 2014, 2016 and 2018 Super Bowls, being named Player of the Game four times in between.

The man who defied all expectations for his 199th overall draft in 2000 was the highest in NFL history with 84,520 yards by air. His 624 throw-ins and 7,263 completions for touchdowns are also on record.
