The Trois-Riviere Lions suffered the heaviest defeat in their young history, losing 10-3 to the Newfoundland Grollers in the Coliseum videotron on Sunday.
The entire meeting erupted as both teams exchanged knives for the third time in 72 hours. In total, the Lions received 84 penalty minutes and the Growlers received 45 penalty minutes.
At the end of the game, Eric Belanger men expressed their frustration by multiplying bizarre gestures towards their opponents. With a shortage of players already in place, the Trois-Rivieres company will have to face a number of suspensions.

After making the game harder, Tristan Berub dropped his net into Carmine-Anthony Pagliar. The latter performed slightly better than his colleague, allocating four wins in eight attempts. Belanger rescinded his opening decision, while Berube finished the game.
The Lions have never been in the game, scoring four goals in the first twenty. The Grollers did it again in the Middle Ages, defeating rival goaltenders five times.
Todd Schirwing (three goals), Jeremy McKenna (two goals, two assists) and Derian Plow (two goals, one assist) scored for Newfoundland.
Anthony Nellis, William LeBlanc and Hayden Shaw were able to deceive the vigilance of Keith Petruzzelli. The Grollers goalie saved 21 points for the win.
The Lions will have the opportunity to redeem themselves in front of their fans when they host the Adirondack Thunder on Wednesday.
