Kitchener | Despite himself, Shane Wright has been fueling conversations for months. Will he really have his best hopes for 2022 vintage and keep his focus on him if he has the Canadian overall first choice? One thing is for sure, those in the Kingston Frontenox forward will not say no one day to wearing a blue, white and red jersey.

The season did not start as Wright expected and many recruiters have expressed their doubts about the center player in various media. Despite all that, he remains for the time being, according to many, the first consensus choice in the rehearsal to take place in Montreal on July 7th and 8th.
However, Wright does not live under the rock. Although he tried his best not to swallow himself up with everything that was said about him, he assured me that he was well aware of the positive and negative excitement that his name evoked in Montreal.
“I heard this excitement and to be honest, Montreal is a special place to play. It’s a wonderful place for me and I’m very excited to be a part of this organization. Obviously I hear what is being said about me, but they are not under my control right now,” he said Tuesday. Mentioned in the basement of the Memorial Auditorium in Kitchener, where he will be the headliner for the Match of the Best.
