During the visit, as part of the celebrations of the Queen’s 70 years of rule, the royal couple saw a resurgence of relations with slavery and a demand for pardon, while Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holmes considered his country becoming “inevitable” for Republican rule. , As Barbados did last November.

“We really enjoyed spending time with the people of these three countries and better understanding the issues that are most important to them,” Prince William continued at the end of the tour with his wife.

The prince also opened the door for a change in the direction of the Commonwealth provided by the Queen, who is very affiliated with this community of 54 countries that are part of the British colonial empire.
