Overtime paid to senior managers in the health network

The epidemic has hit senior executives in the health network. TVA Novelles found that the salaries of some of them increased by 80% in 2020 compared to the previous year.

Data obtained through TVA Nouvelles were provided in 16 of the 22 CISSS and CIUSSS in the province following access to information requests.

According to the explanations provided, salaries contain the amounts claimed in the expense statements, but these amount to only a few thousand dollars in total and, in most cases, less than or equal to those claimed before the health crisis.

Of the total payroll provided to TVA Novelles, this is the CISSS de la Cote-Nord that won the prize for the largest increase. For the year ending December 31, 2020, the highest-paying top executive earned nearly $ 200,000 more than the pandemic.

This is closely followed by the Montreal Director of Public Health, who is affiliated with the CIUSSS Center-sud-de-l’ile-de-Montreal, from $ 283,460 in the year before the epidemic to $ 464,580 in the year 2020.
