For incumbent Didier Raoult on Friday, Karine Lacombe’s attack on him at the Europe 1 microphone in July 2020 was “intolerable”.
Asked about the differences in survival rates in intensive care between Paris and Marseilles proposed by Didier Raoult, head of the department of infectious diseases at the Saint-Antoine hospital in Paris, he said: “There are legal proceedings for lies before a parliamentary committee. are in progress.”
The infectiologist is referring to the hearing of PR Raoult, the National Assembly’s Commission of Inquiry into the government’s handling of the coronavirus crisis.
“After this hearing, Martin Hirsch [alors à la tête des Hôpitaux de Paris, NDLR] I sent a letter to the National Assembly saying that I had given false testimony, but never complained,” recalled P.R Raoult Friday.
“While I respect this country, I think it is very serious to be accused of perjury before the National Assembly,” insisted Didier Raoult in leadership. “I may be called crazy, but when I heard that this misinformation was being spread, I thought it had to stop.”
Additionally, Mr. Raoult indicated that his complaint against Martin Hirsch was “running its course.”
His lawyer, Mr.e Bryce Grazini says, “The problem isn’t so much telling lies as making people think legal action is going on,” which “gets in the ears of the listeners.
These defamatory comments, according to Me Grazini, Mr. Raoult, caused “immense” moral damage, and still does today. Therefore, believing it to be “unpredictable”, the lawyer claimed 10,000 euros for his client on a provisional basis.
Relying on the “good faith” of the Parisian doctor and the radio station, Karine Lacombe’s defense and Europe 1 publishing director appealed for release.
Karin Lacombe is “not an information expert”, defends Me Virginie Marquet, speaking at Europe 1, filed a complaint against SPILF (the French-speaking Infectious Pathology Society) against Mr Rouault.
In July 2020, SPILF effectively took over the medical college Bouches-du-Rhône Against PR Didier Raoult accused him of unnecessarily promoting hydroxychloroquine in particular, but not doing justice.
The court will hear its arguments on November 22.
