“like a punch in the face”
The memory of the attacks of September 11, 2001, still haunts Terry Strada 20 years later.
Her husband Tom, who worked in finance, was at 104e A plane hijacked by al-Qaeda commandos crashed into the building on the floor of the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
“A few minutes later he called me. It was very chaotic, I heard a lot of shouting in the background. Tom told me that he was going to go down the stairs to get out, but he didn’t know that the stairs were no longer used… No one from his company got out,” said Ms.me Strada
The play is the starting point of a long quest for the American, who has spent two decades trying to understand what Saudi Arabia’s exact role was in organizing the attack.
She said the newly unearthed documents raise serious questions about the Saudi authorities’ support to the commando members.
