A viral video posted by user Garrett Hudson on TikTok earlier this month shows an employee at a big box store answering a call from a disgruntled customer.
In summary, the woman can be heard complaining about the many vehicles parked near the Walmart.
“The parking lot is full, there’s no place to park, I can’t even get my groceries,” she wailed after the employee activated the speakerphone.
An employee at the branch in Okeechobee, Florida, responded that the situation was beyond his control.
“What do you want me to do? Move cars?” he joked.
After a few moments, the woman ended the conversation before the American worker answered.
The viral snippet sparked a series of reactions in the comments below the post.
Some users who work in customer service say that they often get calls from unhappy customers.
“Customers forget we’re real people,” says one user.
“Some people think we should be called to send us for a walk,” a young employee also denies.
