The plane almost crashed while landing in Toronto

A video of a difficult plane landing at Toronto’s Pearson Airport has sparked widespread reactions after it was shared on YouTube.

Flight AC2 from Ōta, Japan, may have arrived as early as November 13, but passengers probably feared for their lives.

“When the plane landed, I heard a loud crash, the fuselage suddenly jumped and my heart felt like it was going to be ripped out,” passenger James Cui (@james_toronto) commented on YouTube.

In a video published by Wake Turbulence Aviation, we see the plane hit the ground and roll from side to side. The person filming can also be heard worrying about the plane overturning.

“Very strong winds created a breathtaking moment during the live broadcast! Brilliant piloting saved this near miss,” said the YouTube description. It was also stated that the gusts reached 31 kmph when the plane landed with gusts of 50 kmph.

Fortunately, the passengers arrived safely 23 minutes early, according to the FlightAware website.

“As part of its standard operating procedures, Air Canada is reviewing the event, including regulatory reporting requirements. “Air Canada pilots are qualified professionals trained to safely handle a wide variety of conditions, including adverse wind conditions,” an Air Canada spokesperson said in a statement sent to the “National Post.”
