What's needed
- 750 gr (1.5 lb) lean ground pork
- 250 ml (1 cup) onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) 35% cooking cream
- 1 cube of concentrated vegetable stock
- 1 egg
- 250 ml (1 cup) bread crumbs
- 250 ml (1 cup) medium wheat semolina
- 90 ml (6 tablespoons) canola oil
- 500 ml (2 cups) fruit ketchup
- 60 ml (4 tablespoons) maple syrup
- Salt and pepper to taste

Step 1
In a bowl, using a hand blender, puree the onion, garlic, cream, concentrated stock and egg.
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine the resulting mixture, meat, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper.
Step 3
Form small balls and roll them in wheat semolina.
Step 4
In a hot pan, over medium heat, brown the meatballs in a little cooking oil, 2 minutes on each side.
Step 5
Then, on low heat, continue cooking for 5 minutes.
Step 6
From the pan, remove the meatballs and discard the remaining oil.
Step 7
In the same hot pan, heat the fruit ketchup and maple syrup, stirring, for 2 to 3 minutes.
Step 8
Then continue adding the meatballs, taking time to coat them well with the sauce.
Step 9
Serve the meatballs in bite-sized portions or with green vegetables and a starchy side of your choice.
