Ten families in Estrie will benefit from $5 million

11 Estrie residents win five million dollar classic jackpot on Lotto 6/49 in draw on 11^er Last June.

The winners bought the Formula Group ticket without knowing each other, according to a Loto-Québec press release published on Friday. Ten families will benefit from the gift, as the mother-son duo will split the $500,000 total.

One of the winners, Jeanette Brault, got a surprise when she went to claim her prize at Lotto-Quebec. Instead, she believed she had won $50,000. She wants to use this huge sum to go on a trip to Italy.

“I'm happy to win as a group, because yes, $5,000,000 is great, but ten shares of $500,000 make ten families from Estrie even happier!” she said.

Petro MC, a retailer on Boivin Boulevard in Granby that sold the group's formula, received a $50,000 commission equal to 1% of the profit.
