Taxi drivers from Quebec's Jean-Lesage International Airport are still waiting for “justifications” on the $3.75 tax the company wants to impose on them.

“There are other issues to resolve before getting there,” argued Nabil Fezza, president of Taxis Coop Quebec, in an interview with LCN on Saturday.
This type of rate, which applies to many airports in the country, such as Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver, is used for the operation and maintenance of the taxi pickup area.
However, the size of the Quebec airport does not justify imposing these fees, according to Mr. Fezza.
“We cannot compare ourselves to an airport in Montreal or Toronto. We need to create a balance between traffic, waiting time and shopping costs,” he said. Some of his colleagues sometimes wait up to two hours before welcoming customers.
The latter believes that Quebec Airport's organization should put its energies elsewhere.
