Sunrise, Fla. – Florida Panthers General Manager Bill Zito The club’s hockey operations staff announced the changes today.
Named after the Panthers Rick Dudley And Paul Fenton Senior Advisors to the General Manager, Gregory Campbell Player Personnel & Development Vice President, Blake Geoffrey Assistant to the General Manager and named PJ Fenton To the club’s scouting staff.
The club also announced that Mike Kitchen Returned as Assistant Coach. Assistant Coach of the American Hockey League Dow Janic Can’t join team affiliation in Charlotte.
Dudley has 45 years of experience in professional hockey and 20 years as an NHL executive. He returned to office before the Panthers after serving as senior vice president of hockey operations for the Carolina Hurricanes for the past two seasons. A native of Toronto, Ontario, he served as Panthers’ general manager for two seasons (2002-03 to 2003-04).
Carolina Hurricanes (2018-19 to 2019-20), Montreal Canadians (2012-13 to 2017-18), Toronto Maple Leafs (2011-12), Atlanta Thrashers (2009-10 to 2010-11), Chicago Blackhawks ( 2004-05 to 2008-09), Florida Panthers (2002-03 to 2003-04), Tampa Bay Lightning (1999-00 to 2002-03) and Ottawa Senators (1998-99).
He has held general positions in Atlanta, Florida, Tampa Bay and Ottawa, has served as head coach at Buffalo Sabers (1989-90 to 1991-92) and at IHL, AHL and ACHL.
Paul Fenton spent 20 years with the Nashville Predators, a player who joined the franchise after starting as a personal director. Fenton, who has served in that role for seven seasons, was promoted to Assistant General Manager in 2006-07, a position he held until 2017-18. He also served as General Manager of Milwaukee Admirals, an AHL subsidiary in Nashville, for five seasons (2013-14 to 2017-18). While Fenton was with Nashville, he was instrumental in the team’s amateur scouting, staffing and player development, leading the team to the 2017 Stanley Cup Final.
Springfield, Mass., A local who recently worked as a scout for the Columbus Blue Jackets. Fenton served as General Manager for the Minnesota Wild (2018-19) and Team USA General Manager at the 2011 IIHF World Championships. He also served as Player Personal Director for Team North America at the 2016 World Cup of Hockey. He began his career as a professional scout in 1993-94 and spent five seasons with Anaheim’s Mighty Ducks before serving as the club’s pro scouting director for two seasons (1996-97 to 1997-98).
Campbell returns to the Panthers after spending the past four seasons as a player development coach at Columbus Blue Jackets.
Campbell, a veteran of the 803 NHL regular season games, was selected by Florida in the third round of the 2002 NHL Draft (67th overall). He spent six seasons with the Panthers (2003-04 to 2009-10), scoring 85 points (29-56-85) in 363 regular season games.
As a player, he won the Stanley Cup with the Boston Bruins, Memorial Cup in 2011 and the Ontario Hockey League Championship with the Kitchener Rangers in 2003. He also won the Campbell Championships at the Major Junior and International levels and won the Spengler Cup with the team. Canada in 2017.
After spending the previous seven seasons with Columbus Blue Jackets, Geoffrey joined the Panthers, four seasons as a professional scout (2013-14 to 2015-16, 2019-20) and three seasons as assistant general manager for the club’s AHL subsidiary, Cleveland Monsters 2016-17 From 2018-19).
Born in Plantation, Fla., And raised in Nashville, Tenn., Geoffrey was selected by Nashville in the second round of the 2006 NHL Draft (56th overall). University of Wisconsin alum and Hobby Baker Award recipient appeared in 55 career NHL games for Nashville (2010-11 to 2011-12) and Montreal (2011-12), scoring 13 points (8-5-13) before his career. Reduce due to injury.
He helped Team USA win a bronze medal at the 2007 IIHF World Junior Championships and a gold medal at the 2006 IIHF U18 World Junior Championships.
PJ Fenton joined the Panthers two seasons later with Minnesota Wild (2018-19 to 2019-20), where he served as the team’s amateur scout and co – director of the club’s amateur scouting.
Prior to spending time with Wild, Fenton served two seasons as an amateur scout for the Edmonton Oilers (2016-17 to 2017-18).
Originally a native of Springfield, Mass, the San Jose Sharks played professional hockey for a total of nine seasons in North America and Europe in the fifth round (162nd in total), winning the championship with the Beattygame Steelers. Aishoki Bundesliga of the Second Division of Germany in 2013.
