San Jose, CA. – San Jose Sharks (31st overall) in the 2020 NHL Draft (An Sanjosharks) General Manager Dow Wilson and Scouting Director Doug Wilson Jr. selected Ozzy Wisblot.
The 18-year-old right wing has 70 points (25 goals, 45 assists) with a plus-20 rating in 64 games with Prince Albert Raiders in the Western Hockey League (WHL). Wiseblot finished second on the team in assists and points, third in goals and sixth in plus / minus.
Forward has teamed up with Prince Albert to score 110 points (41 goals, 69 assists) in 129 career games with a plus-51 rating. He helped Prince Albert win the WHL Championship in 2018-19, with 10 points (five goals, five assists) in his 23 rookie playoff games. He also won the WHL Cup Silver Medal in 2017-18.
Internationally, he won a silver medal in the Hlinka Gretzky Cup with Canada. He recorded one assist and 12 penalty minutes in five games.
The five-foot-ten, 183-pound, five-foot-tall, 183-pound Alberta Elber hockey legend has scored 38 goals in 32 games before joining the WHL, where Prince Albert is ranked 25th overall.
Viceblatt is ranked 19th overall by North American skaters by NHL Central Scouting.
The Sharks currently have six options on the second day of the 2020 NHL Draft, which starts PT on the NHL Network tomorrow at 8:30 am. San Jose will pick in the second (34, 56), fifth (126, 127) and seventh (201, 210) rounds.
