A ‘significant’ power outage is still in place on many train lines to and from London’s Paddington station, with thousands unable to attend Elizabeth II’s funeral.

According to a Twitter post from UK rail management company Network Rail, the disruption that started on Monday continued on Tuesday as thousands of Britons traveled to the capital or Windsor Castle to attend the royal funeral.
“Tuesday morning, travel only if necessary (…) we will be working” night and day on Tuesday between the city of Reading in west London and Paddington station in London “to repair electrical cables”, the message detailed.
A power outage blocked train services to and from the London station from 6:30am on Monday, disrupting the plans of thousands of commuters planning to attend the late Queen’s funeral on September 8.
Many Britons found it difficult to travel to Windsor on Monday due to train breakdowns, and hundreds of people were stranded at Paddington or Reading station after the funeral, according to several British media.
