A woman is talking on the phone when a furious fox sneaks up on her

A 61-year-old woman was bitten repeatedly by a fox.

Sherry Russo, an American from New York, was talking on her cell phone near her home on July 25 when a rabid fox came up behind her and attacked her.

Images captured on his surveillance camera (Pour over) have gone viral on social media.

In the incident, a retired nurse was bitten 16 times by what she initially thought was her neighbor’s dog.

“When I felt the first pinch on the outside of my leg, I thought it was our neighbor’s dog,” Russo said. Fox News. “I put my leg up and said ‘Hey, what are you doing?’ was going to say. And chase after it, but I looked down and saw this gray fox.”

In a fierce struggle between the creature and her, Russo knocked it to the ground several times, but determined, the fox returned to charge each time.

“He’s a little beast, but he’s relentless, he comes back and every time he does, I start to lose a little more faith in my ability to push him away,” the victim added.

Finally alerted by her screams, her neighbor came with a stick and rescued her.

“Once the fox saw him coming near me and thought he would attack someone else, so he took off,” said the one now indebted to his neighbor.

“I thank God that my neighbors came. I can’t understand how good it is in him to look away or pretend he didn’t hear anything. I will be forever grateful to him,” she concluded.

As the fox tested positive for rabies, Russo was given a rabies shot and antibiotics.
