The Illinois company was in turmoil last May when Aldrich sued a former player last May, alleging he had wronged himself and a teammate. A month later, President and CEO Danny Wirtz called on the club’s former federal prosecutor to complete the investigation.
“Blackhawks will share the results with you, their partners and supporters. We will implement immediate changes to rectify the situation, Virz wrote in an internal memo, receiving a copy of the athletic site. We will continue this analysis process while we wait for conclusions. “
In July, Susan Logans, the hockey player’s lawyer who initiated the legal proceedings, advised her client not to participate in the investigation, insisting that everything was paid for by blackhawks and questioning the legitimacy of the results contributing to a process. Will be displayed publicly. Later, however, she expressed that she was ready to take part in certain circumstances.
John Torchetti, who was deputy in 2009-2010, stated in June that at that time the group had discussed and decided not to alert the police. For his part, former defender Brent Soppel claimed to be aware of the whole structure of the allegations associated with Aldrich. In contrast, the Hawks driver at the time, Joel Queenville, denied that he knew about the story in the summer of 2010 and was aware of the allegations through the media.
