The player safety department of the National Hockey League on Friday night issued an eight-game suspension for Colorado Avalanche forward Nazem Kadri.

St Louis Blues defenseman Justin Falk has been ruled out of a repeat offense for a blow he suffered on Wednesday.
The full-back hit the head in the middle of the third period and fell longer on the ice. He walked into the locker room and did not return to the game. His attacker was kicked out of the game.
This is the third time Kadri has been given a playoff suspension. In 2019, when he wore the colors of Maple Leafs, Ontario was fined for double-checking Jake Debrask of the Boston Bruins in the second game of the series involving the Toronto Club. He was punished for the rest of this playoff showdown. The year before, the Bruins had suspended him three games for giving strength to forward Tommy Wingles. Since 2013, he has received five suspensions.
Kadri’s punishment begins in the third game of the series against the Blues, who are currently 2-0 up in the snow. If the suspension is not fully provided during the current playoffs, the remaining games will be offered as early as 2021. -2022 regular season.
