The 350 passengers on board an Air Transat flight that was stranded for 48 hours in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, finally returned home on Saturday evening and many of them are seeking compensation from the airline.

Passengers who saw the return flight twice canceled landed in Montreal at 10:30 pm, TVA Novelles learned.
On Thursday, their plane could not take off due to a mechanical fault. Passengers had to wait two hours to be told to return to the hotel. The second return flight was canceled, which upset Quebec passengers.
TVA informed Novelles that some of them had a firm intention to file a formal complaint. They believe that Air Transat has failed in its obligations under the Canadian Transportation Agency’s Guide to Flight Delays and Cancellations.
According to an Air Transat spokesperson, passengers received three US $ 15 vouchers for baggage at the airport. Communications are also sent every 30 minutes to all passengers who have been canceled.
