Headphones come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, but if you’re a real audiophile looking for the best sound, you may want to consider full-size around-the-ear or over-the-ear headphones rather than going the earbud route. Previously, this list included many wired headphones. The V-Moda’s M-200 is a wired-only headphone and one of the few wired over-ear headphones on this list. Released in late 2019, these clean and detailed sounding over-ear headphones have great sound and excellent bass response, and the Kush Ear cups mean they are also comfortable to wear. Features 50mm drivers with neodymium magnets, CCAW voice coils and fine-tuning Roland Engineers – V-Moda is now owned by Roland – M – 200 Hi – Res Audio certified by Japan Audio Society. Other V-Moda earphones push the bass a bit, but it has the more neutral sound profile you would expect from a Studio Monitor headphone. These studio-quality headphones come with two strings, one of which has a built-in microphone for making calls. It may help if V-Moda Lightning or USB-C headphone cables are provided for smartphone users.

When it comes to premium noise-canceling headphones, Bose and Sony have dominated sound players for the past few years. But now Sennheiser has come up with something new Momentum 3 Wireless And it needs some attention, especially from fans of the Momentum line. It is now available for purchase at 9 309 – less than Bose Noise cancellation headphones 700.
Not only does it have better audio quality with better sound-canceling features (goodbye, external noise) and excellent sound and audio for listening to music, it also acts as a headset for making calls on your iPhone or Android. Its noise level and comfort level are not measured up to noise cancellation and comfort Sony WH-1000XM3s, It has lambskin-covered ear cups well and to say nothing about battery life, I have no hesitation in rocking it for a two hour music listening session.

Although its noise cancellation and comfort are not on par with competing models from Bose and Sony, JBL’s Live 650BTNC measures well in terms of sound – better than ear headphones if you do not want to spend more than a few hundred dollars. The listening experience is still great, the ear pads are comfortable and leak through very little ambient noise. I loved Bowers & Wilkins The original PX Noise-canceling over-ear headphones, but they are a little lacking in comfort and noise-canceling sections. The company’s new PX7, released in the fall of 2019, improves in both areas, with excellent sound, four noise-canceling settings (automatic, in, high and off) and a well – softened ear cushion in an attractive design. There is also an adjustable ambient “transparency” mode that allows you to listen to the outside world.
The headphones are heavy at 10.7 ounces (304 grams), but the build quality is top notch – and these are a little more expensive at $ 400. Bowers & Wilkins make the on-year model more compact PX5, Which is $ 100 cheaper and much better. But this model is a little better.
The sound is detailed with rich and deep bass, which is well defined even in high volumes. It is a very dynamic headphone, with extra power in the mid-highs. It has not been rolled back as before PX5 Wireless And its direct competitor is probably the Sennheiser Momentum 3. Sennheiser is undoubted to call, but this B&W probably wins in design.
These Bluetooth headphones support AAC and aptX, use Bluetooth 5.0, charge via USB-C and have up to 30 hours of battery life at moderate volume levels. Its noise cancellation is not on par with Bose or Sony, but it’s not far off – as I said, it’s improved from the original PX noise cancellation.

Introduced back in 1991, the Sony MDR-7506 has long been a favorite headphone of recording engineers and other sound professionals (yes, it is a wired headphone). The MDR-7506, of course, is refreshing, so the origins of its design are even more backward Sony MDR-V6 It was started in 1985. Both models are designed for the Pro Sound market, but are very popular with consumers.
The two headphones have the same design and are very comfortable, they are not identical. Both offer a very simple balanced sound and excellent resolution for their modest prices – and both great overall values. But the V6 makes a little more bass and feels more lay-back and melo, while the 7506 is thinner with a more passionate treble range, which makes it a little more crisp and alive. Another audio file favorite, Grado’s Prestige Series SR325e has been around for a while – we reviewed these over-the-ear headphones back in 2014. This is an open-back wired model, which means it leaks sound (do not use it in the open- office environment), but it does provide some of the open, detailed sound you will find at this price.
Grado, based in Brooklyn, New York, builds most of its products, has not changed the iconic exterior design of the headphones and, like its SR325 predecessor (the previous model SR325i), has the same firmness as the step-down, more flexible foam pads on the outside of your ears Bowl shaped foam pads SR80e, Which is more convenient. The SR80e headphones are considerably lighter, but not built like the SR325e model. Some people like Grado’s earpads (they can change the user), but overall we can say that the comfort level of this model is not up to its sound quality level: Comfort is good but not great. Bang & Olufsen’s Beeplay Play 9 is not mentioned much in the noise-canceling headphones discussion because at $ 500, it’s really a pair of expensive headphones. The previous third-generation version has been upgraded in some important ways that are better than the previous H9i. The battery life of this version is 25 hours better than the previous version, now there is a dedicated button for your voice assistant, pad cushion and touch controls on the ear cushions and headband. The sound is still nice.
Some people, especially weightlifters, prefer to work on full-size headphones, and the Backbeat Fit 6100 over-the-ear wireless headphones are a very viable choice for both gym and everyday use. The adjustable Sport-Fit headband features IPX 5-rated water-resistant and sweat-proof design, 40mm angle drivers and noise-separating ear cups with “Awareness” mode. Battery life is rated at 24 hours. They look great and are really safe in your head – you can adjust the tension in the headband, which is innovative and ideal for exercise headphones.
At their list price of $ 180 they are a bit more expensive, but sometimes the price is closer to $ 100. They are available in black, camo and gray.
