Blues for the unpunished head: Blues’ DG is enough

St. Louis Blues general manager Doug Armstrong did not reprimand his attackers for hitting his players on the head.

On Wednesday night, in Armstrong’s Game 2 against the Colorado Avalanche, defenders Justin Falk and Robert Portuzo fell in battle.

Nazim Kadri is expected to get a suspension for hitting Falk on the head, but Tyson Jost has not been punished and will not be allowed to dirt he worked on in Porto.

“I’m disappointed that Justin and Robert were forced out of the game on Wednesday due to head injuries,” Armstrong said in an interview with sports site The Athletic.

The National Hockey League (LNH) also wants the DG to look into the matter soon.

“Now is not the time to talk about player defense, but I want to have this discussion at the end of the season so that my comments do not appear to be a response to what is happening with my team right now.”

The Blues are currently trailing 2-0 in the series. The third duel will take place on Friday at the Enterprise Center.
