Broccoli Real Estate Group announced Monday that it is preparing a revival project for the Kirkland Center and its surroundings in the West Island of Montreal, in partnership with the Riocon Investment Fund.
Following the opening of the Riso Express Metropolitan (REM) station in 2023 or 2024, the two partners plan to undertake a complete redevelopment of the land.
“This new project will include a complete revival of the site, making better use of the space available by adding new buildings and a diverse offer of commercial, office and residential type use.”
In particular, the new buildings will provide 240,000 square feet of office space and 135,000 square feet of living space. The number of housing units to be installed is not specified.
“Our goal is to facilitate access to REM by increasing the residential offer in the area adjacent to the new Kirkland station. The best way to achieve this is to create a project that meets the needs of the community in terms of density and diversity of uses,” said Roger Plamondon, president of Broccoli Real Estate Group.
His company oversees project design and construction. Subsequently, Broccoli manages office space rentals and deals with the sale of residential units, overseeing the management of Riocon retail premises.
