For years, Burger King and McDonald’s competed with each other and became the most popular burger chain in the country.
Both are popular with high street shoppers and both have loyal fans around the world.
But in a shock move, Burger King is now asking people to go to McDonald’s and eat – and the reason for doing so is really heartfelt.
In an ad online, Burger King wrote: “Order from McDonald’s.
“We never thought we would ask you to do this, we never hesitate to order from KFC, Domino’s Pizza, Subway, Five Guys, Gregs, Papa Johns, Taco Bell and other independent food stores. Mention here.
“In short: from our sister food chains (not fast or fast).
“We never thought we’d be asked to do this, but restaurants that employ thousands of staff really need your support at this point
“So if you want to help, treat yourself to a delicious meal by home delivery, takeaway or drive-thru.
“Getting a Wopper is always good, but ordering a Big Mac isn’t even that bad.”

“Respect from a McDonald fan,” one social media user responded Birmingham Live.
“Plus, currently 30% off the app for McDonald’s!” The second is added.
“Glory. Really impressive,” a third agreed, branding the fourth as “classy.”
Another wrote: “You are God’s range and mad respect for saying this. Things will get better. Finally I can not wait for my next part Fries.”
