A few hours before the meeting, the company confirmed that the Quebec government had asked the team to play its duel without supporters. Spectators are required to return home and ticket holders are notified by email. They are also eligible for a refund.

“The measure announced this evening to play the game behind closed doors has disappointed our fans. We continued this action following a request from Public Health late in the afternoon, a request we accepted to ensure the health and safety of our supporters and communities. We know you want answers to Saturday’s game and we will communicate more about it as soon as we get the information to share tomorrow morning, ”said France Group Sports and Entertainment President Margaret Belanger in a statement.

This decision only applies to Thursday night’s game and more information on the following games will be announced shortly. For the future, Canadian fans are assured that they will be able to reconnect with the Bell Center by January.

We would like to reiterate that we guarantee that the Amphitheater for our January Games will once again host our fans with 50% of full capacity. No case of Kovid-19 has been identified at the Bell Center since the outbreak began. We are proud of the work our teams have done since reopening the Bell Center. We will continue to live up to our best standards, ”Belanger said, recalling the importance of the vaccine.

Reduced efficiency

In the evening, Prime Minister Franois Legalt announced at his long-awaited press briefing that from Monday amphitheaters would be able to accommodate up to 50% of their maximum capacity.

He also mentioned the cancellation of any tournaments or sporting events scheduled from December 20.

Events are about potential – cultural, sport, etc. – Over the next weekend, Quebec Director of Public Health Dr. Horacio Arruda agreed that there may be last-minute changes. The latter stated that a risk assessment would be made with the relevant managers very soon.

Hobbs will host the Boston Bruins on Saturday. The day before, its subsidiary, Rocket de Laval, was competing with Bruins de Providence at Placebell.
