Bad news for our Quebec diva. Celine Dion is suffering from a rare neurological disorder and has had to postpone her shows from spring 2023 to 2024. She is also canceling eight shows scheduled for the summer of 2023 as part of her Courage World Tour. The 54-year-old artist announced this on his Instagram account.

“I have had health problems for a long time and it is not easy for me to deal with them. “It saddens me to tell you that I won’t be ready to start my tour of Europe again in February,” Celine Dion explained in a moving video.
“I’m sorry for taking so long to update you. I miss you. I can’t wait to get back on stage so I can update you personally. I’ve always been an open book but not ready to talk about what I’ve been through till now,” she adds.
“Recently I was diagnosed with a very rare neurological disorder Stiff person syndrome It affects one person in a million. We still don’t know everything about this rare disease, but we now know that it is the cause of the muscle pains I suffer from,” says Celine. The syndrome she suffers from creates muscle stiffness.
“Unfortunately, these spasms affect my daily life on many levels. I sometimes struggle to walk and my vocal cords can’t sing like I’d like,” she explains with a tremor in her voice.
“My children are what give me courage and hope to continue. Also, I train daily with my sports medicine therapist to regain the strength and energy to perform again, but I have to admit it’s an ongoing struggle. I’ve sung all my life and it’s unimaginable that I won’t be able to do it anymore. I see you Missed, performing for you on stage.
Her summer schedule has also been moved and the North American star will notably miss the Vielles Charroux festival in Brittany, which she was expected to perform on July 13 after the first two cancellations.
On the other hand, six concerts will be held in September 2023 at La Défense Arena (near Paris).
Celine Dion performed the first 52 shows of the tour before the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in early 2020. The superstar announced last January that he was canceling this North American tour due to his problems.
