COVID-19: "Vaccination can prevent you from getting sick"

Despite the high incidence of Cubaser vaccines, COVID-19 is still prevalent in the province.

Benoit Barbeau, a virologist and professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at UQAM, recalls that the vaccine does not prevent virus infection.

“Vaccination prevents you from contracting an infection, and possibly preventing infection. In addition, vaccines are not 100% effective and, with the delta variant, there is a reduction in the rate.

Benoit Barbeau believes that opening the Canadian border to Americans opens a door to the spread of the virus.

However, he keeps it in view by stating that he has not closed the border to the route of the required labor and goods.

“So there’s already back and forth, but now we have more,” he says.

He believes the federal government should keep an eye on the situation and decide whether keeping the borders open is the best option.

Benoit Barbie Continues and Signs: Vaccine coverage is the best way to fight COVID-19.

“We should assume that some variants can develop a certain resistance, but at this point, we have not seen it,” the expert explains.

“The vaccine remains our best choice,” said Benoit Barbio.
