Renowned for its e-commerce platform, Vancouver Tech is up to its own e-commerce.
Silicon Valley-based CRM giant Salesforce.com Inc. After a multi-year partnership between the two companies, a definite agreement was reached to acquire MobiFi Research and Development Inc.
“After the transaction, we look forward to partnering with more Salesforce customers to join the Salesforce family and unlock the freedom and flexibility to separate their digital customer experiences,” Mobify CEO Igor Faletsky wrote in a September 4 blog post.
The terms and end date of the agreement were not disclosed.
Headquartered in downtown Vancouver, MobyFi specializes in optimizing retail websites on a variety of platforms, including smartphones and tablets.
Brands like Under Armor Inc. are using Mobifine to facilitate their own online stores.
The Acquisition Agreement sees Mobify Delivery to Salesforce, a modern storefront solution that allows brands to customize their trading experience faster and more frequently, to provide a better shopping experience on any channel and to further increase conversion and revenue to maximize success. In the digital-first economy. ”
This is not MobiFi’s first acquisition deal – however, the last time it went in the other direction.
In 2016, Mobify acquired fellow BC Tech company Pathful to acquire advanced machine learning technology capable of studying and adapting customer behavior.
Faletsky told BIV that the deal would help his company deliver messages sent to customers on behalf of brands, which would reduce the amount of “spammy” messages people receive.
MobiFi has long had strong ties with West Coast companies, and Vancouver-based Vistara Capital Partners participated in the $ 15 million financing round for the company in 2017.
