Legalt has asked the government to pay the salaries of senior executives of Quebec Solidair public and non-public companies. We learned on Wednesday that the next CEO of Lotto-Quebec, Jean-Franకోois Bergeron, will receive a base salary of 450,109.

This amounts to a 19% increase compared to the salary paid to outgoing President Lynne Reuters during her official appointment at Lotto-Quebec head in 2017. There are no bonuses to be paid to Mr. Bergeron.
“Once again, the CAQ pays a senior, juicy salary to a senior state official, but caregivers in the health network must be satisfied with small pieces,” lamented Vincent Marisol of Quebec Solidarity.
As President of the Society Cubacois du Cannabis (SQDC), Mr. Bergeron received a base salary of 7,297,395 for the last fiscal year. His term in Lotto-Quebec begins on May 31.
“People like Lotto-Quebec’s new CEO are asking for a cap on the salaries of senior executives of Quebec Solidair, sure to prevent them from pocketing more than 000 500,000 a year. […] So their salary should not exceed 10 times the lowest salary in the company, ”said a member of the Solidarity for Rosemont.
