Investigations that could lead to an investigation into the disappearance of Marilyn Bergeron resumed Thursday morning in Saint-Romuwald, where a man living on the premises was arrested for assaulting a journalist.

Officers from the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) and the Forensic Identification Unit were near the residence at 1092 Chemin du Salt on Thursday morning.

A command post was also deployed on site to allow investigators to do their work, but a truck loaded with goods from the residence was stopped nearby.
The SPVQ has not yet confirmed whether the investigation is linked to the disappearance of Marilyn Bergeron. However, the girl’s parents said on Wednesday that they had met with the authorities as part of the expansion.

Note that the residence is a few blocks away from the former cafe depot where the young woman last appeared in February 2008.
